Hi @TheAres

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check Charger and Cable:

    • Ensure that the charger and power cable are not damaged. Try using another compatible charger, if available, to rule out issues with the charger.
  2. Inspect Power Port:

    • Check the laptop’s charging port for any damage or debris that might be obstructing the connection.
  3. Reset Power Settings:

    • Shut down your laptop.
    • Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if it is removable).
    • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
    • Reinsert the battery, plug in the charger, and turn on the laptop.
  4. Update Battery Driver:

    • Go to "Device Manager" > "Batteries".
    • Right-click on "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery", and select "Uninstall".
    • Once uninstalled, click "Scan for hardware changes" to reinstall the driver automatically.
  5. BIOS/UEFI Update:

    • Visit the HP Support website and check if there is a BIOS/UEFI update for your model. Updating the BIOS can sometimes resolve charging issues.
  6. Run HP Battery Check:

    • Use the HP Support Assistant tool (if installed) to run a battery diagnostic.
  7. Test Without Battery:

    • If your battery is removable, try powering the laptop directly using the charger with the battery removed. This can help identify if the issue is with the battery or another component.
