Model 14-bs100na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The other day I plugged my laptop directly to a multipower cord without the battery inserted as I always do and the plug sparked and wouldn't turn on and the power indicator light wasn't working either. I proceeded to insert the battery and after a minute or so the power indicator light came on. After some time I noticed that the battery wasn't charging at all and was actually discharging as normal when in use so I disconnected the battery and the laptop turned off. Now I have less than 20%battery I can't get any charge even though I've ran the diagnostic tests for the battery, ac adapter and power source which all passed including a quick system test with no problems recognised. I don't know what else I can do anyone have any ideas?

@1Truth Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to charge the laptop.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please try the below:

Steps to uninstall the ACPI drivers

Right-Click on start button> click device manager> Batteries>then select the s drivers and right-click on it and uninstall all battery drivers.

Then restart the computer and check again.

Link for battery testing and calibration

Also, update the BIOS.
