HP Recommended

I have the HP Victus 15-fb0178AX, 16gb ram , Ryzen 5 5600H and RTX 3050 4gb. Its around 2 or 2.5 years old and I used to keep it plugged in all the time.

Lately I noticed it was running hot so i got a technician to get the thermal paste redone and we found out that the battery was swollen mildly from all the overcharging through the years , The hp battery optimisation was enabled all these years.

Today I got the battery changed , And what I noticed is its not charging above 80% - my OS says "not charging" instead of "discharging" which it usually says when its not plugged in, I drained it down to 30% and charged it again , but at 80% it simply stops. I wanted to ask if this is normal for this model and if anyone else has this , because I can't find anything regarding this on the internet.

I did not change anything , nor did the technician , he just changed the battery , and turned on the laptop - this was all done in front of me.

Would appreciate any insights, thanks!
