HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop HP 15s-fq2000 battery will not recharge.  I bought the laptop in March of 2021, and it has been okay up until a month ago when I noticed the battery was down to 0%.  I haven't used the laptop for a while, as I use my desktop now.  How do I get the battery to work again, without going into the bios etc, as I'm a complete novice.  I can't even find the battery, even though the instruction page looks different to the back of my laptop.  I can use the laptop as usual with it plugged in, but not unplugged. Does anybody know of a simple HP email address with attachment capabilities, so I can get in touch with a human?  Sorry about choosing the wrong "Board" but I didn't see anyone about batteries.  I told you I was a novice 😞

Hi ub6424, I hope this is the correct way to get in touch, and to thank you for your input on my battery that would not recharge.  I had a look at the link you gave me, but as I said before, I am a complete novice, and get really nervous trying to understand the workings of computers.  I chickened out, then got in touch with HP support, and they put me in touch with one of their experts who got into my laptop via remote control to checked it all out.  The lady found out my battery was dead, and had to be replace immediately.  As I bought a 3-year care plan with the laptop she said she would send someone to my home to collect the laptop, which should take about tens day to get it back.  Well, that’s all to report, except to say thank you once again for your input.  I did look on YouTube and saw people doing the same as you suggested, but I was to nervous to try it out. All the best.
