Envy x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For several months, my Envy x360 Laptop reports a low battery (currently 9%), plugged in, not charging.   I have run the battery test and changed setting per earlier posts.  Seems the battery terminals may be damaged but the battery is not removable in this laptop.  The Laptop just sits at the bar in the kitchen and has not often been moved and to our knowledge never been dropped.

Have you also tested the charger? Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and look for Component tests.

The laptop will still function as normal even with battery at 0% as long as the power adapter/charger is good. Your battery  at over 2 years old can be beyond it's useful life.

Looking for Manual now. As luck would have it none listed on your Support page.

Laptop batteries do eventually lose the ability to charge and have to be replaced. Sealed laptops are harder to change battery but it can be done. If you post the full Model number or/and Product number we can find your Maintenance and Service Manual ,with the battery part number. You can find that info by following the guide here:

Product ID is;

00325-95800-00000-AAOEM as reported in Windows

N5S76UA#ABA on back of Laptop

Down to 3% now without disconnecting the charger.

Ran the battery test, shows a fully functional battery with 3% remaining.  Pretty sure the battery terminals might be bent out of contact.  So help to get the unit open is appreciated.  The unit is well less than 3 years old.   Thank you CherylG for your offer to look up the manual.

I watched a You Tube video to open the Laptop, then unplugged the battery and plugged in back in securly.  Upon plugging in the charger it now glows orange instead of white.  Upon starting up the unit, it now reports charging.  So looks to me the battery is fine and the issue was the plug is an issue.  But I am back up to a functioning laptop until the plug goes south again, if it every does.
