OK so I have an HP pavilion 15.9 from 2019. Recently when we plug it in the light flashes orange instead of going steady orange to indicate charging. I thought it was the charger port because sometimes I could get it to charge others it wouldn't. So I bought and replaced the port. Tested it and it's still doing the same thing. I have 2 different chargers and it does the same with both. Could it be the battery? I can't get it to boot up right now because it's too low and won't charge so I can't run the diagnostics.

Any ideas would help..

Hi @naofomi

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing charging-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it apart from the port change?

May I know from where did you purchase the charger port?

It could be that the battery is faulty. I would suggest you press and hold the power button for 30 seconds and check if you see any difference.

Also, let me know which port did you replace and from where did you purchase it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
