Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It all started when I wanted to add the High Performance Plan because I only had the Balanced one, I tried a method which uses a register thing, I think I messed up with something because my battery slider disappeared and my Balanced Plan (the only one I have) disappeared too. I managed to get back the Balanced Plan back but my battery slider doesn't show up. I searched everywhere but I cannot find solutions, please help.Immagine 2022-12-03 182938.jpg

I fixed everything by doing Windows 10 reset: I selected keep my files, and began the installation, for a few minutes it freezed but then it ended well. The slider shows up, a lot of cache and unused files have been deleted so I consider this as a win.

Hello @SharkPlayer737

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

(1) In most cases, the simplest solution:

=> Use Windows Restore to return to the restore point (date) >>> before <<< the error occurred.

See section < How to recover using System Restore on Windows 10 >

Glad someone replied, The problem is that I've not created any restore point before this happened, I didn't knew what registry was and I used a wrong method too for the missing power plans .

Hello @SharkPlayer737

Windows Update creates restore points automatically, but not for all updates. Please check which ones are available.

@Ub6424 It seems that I had no restore points saved before this, not even Windows Updates.

I think the only decision I can take is to do Windows Reset and pray. I'm scared because I don't have an account in Windows anymore because an expert told me that it's useless. I had one last year but now I have to wait 30 days because I reset the email. I wonder if it asks me some kind of account or the BitLocker key, even if I don't have any of these and I can't get my data and files back.Immagine 2022-12-06 143537.jpg

Tried it, but nothing happened. The slider is still missing. I think the only solution is resetting Windows even though I'm a bit scared about it, mostly because it could go wrong. for example (BitDefender key, asking password even if didn't even have a windows account logged in right now meaning i lose all the files, other bugs).
