HP 15-BW080ND
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop started malfunctioning with regard to the battery. Suddenly the battery would not charge anymore.

When i run diagnostics now ( battery stays on 11% and is not charged) i get the error 42 with id : RE00W.

Running the diagnostics in the bios i get the error of a blown fuse. Is this fixable and if yes, what do i have to do? WIll a replacement of the battery be enough or is it a problem with another part.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply!! 😄

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns.

Since this is a Hardware issue, the battery needs to be replaced

@BatteryProblem (switching the public as no private information is being shared anymore)/

I'm the Riddle_Decipher & I'm writing on behalf of my colleague @KrazyToad, as the tech is out for the day, that said, I have reviewed your concern and the entire conversation, did some research and here's what I recommend:

You can always purchase parts from the HP Parts Store, here's the link: Click here

Alternatively, you can obtain the part number using the HP Parts Surfer: Click here and once you have the universal part number, you may order the part using any local retail store both online or offline.

I hope that helps, take care and have a good day, ahead.

Firstly, thanks for the help!

but ath the moment I am seriously getting fed up. I bought a new official battery for my laptop. But when i inserted this new battery it isn't recognized by my laptop.

The battery icon has a cross in it, but when i put my mouse on it, it says it is charged for 100%. Hp support assistant battery check says there is no battery found (90) and in the bios (f2) it says the same thing when i do a power check.

I tried everything:

updating bios

resetting bios

hard reset

battery in-out

uninstalling the ACPI battery adapter

and now i bought a new battery, which still does not solve the problem!!

I am starting to get really annoyed since no one is able to help me and i followed literally every procedure that was available on the site and the forums. Why am i getting this error and how can I  solve this. Please someone form HP, solve my problem!!

I understand this could get annoying, considering what you've been through, that said, if the issue persists after the battery has been replaced as well, please refer to my private message for further assistance:
