Hi @Sekhar3045,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop is indicating that an app is still open before shutdown, it might be due to a background process that isn’t visibly open. Here are a few steps you can take to identify and close it.

Check Task Manager:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Look for any applications or processes that might be running. If you find any, select them and click "End Task."

Update Windows:

  • Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates often fix bugs and improve performance. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Disable Startup Programs:

  • In Task Manager, go to the "Startup" tab and disable any unnecessary programs that run on startup. This can reduce background processes that may cause issues.

Check for Background Apps:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Background apps and turn off any apps that you don’t want running in the background.

Restart Your Laptop:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve issues where apps don’t close properly.

If the problem persists, it could be worth running a system scan for any potential issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
