When doing updates on a couple of carts of HP Probook 450 G4 I have one give a corruption error when updating the Bios. We are going from Bios version 1.04 to 1.18. I downloaded the latest bios from the HP website and have been copying it to each machine before I run it. I have used a good machine that updated fine to create a USB bios recovery. I have tried the Win + B key combination when powering on the laptop with the usb plugged in but nothing happens. The laptop will turn on, power light go off, and then power light back on and blank screen. after about 15 seconds the fan speed will ramp up but nothing is displayed and will sit like that as long as I will let it.
If I just try to turn it on normally with nothing plugged in. The laptop will power on, power light will go off and then back on, there will be a quick flash of the HP splash screen then a quick flash of something else and then back OFF. I used an iPad to video the boot up and slowed it down frame by frame to see what flashed on the screen. It says Bios Recovery, recovering bios 1.04 0% (4kb of 9216KB). then it flash to HP and off.
Am I doing the wrong procedure for the Bios Recovery from a USB drive? Is there a different key stroke process to initiate it from the flash drive? I know it is the right BIOS type for the system because it worked on the other 59 laptops. Laptop was running fine before this happened.
Any help appreciated.

F10 does not do anything either. We are not using HP image. We use MDT to image all our systems.
At one time I was able to get a 2 long beep, 2 short beep code. But I don't get that anymore either.
I just had a second system do the same thing. it looks like it tries to recover the old 1.04 Bios and then fails. How can I make it look to the flash drive for the new BIOS to use for recovery?

2 long beep, 2 short beep code reflects BIOS had corrupted.
I'm sure you need to replace System Board to resolve the issue.
If unit is covered under warranty call HP tech support for replacement of System Board.
