Bios access problem for DV7-4065-dx

I cannot access the BIOS for this system and tried the following steps

F2, Win+B+F2, F10, F11 and even Esc

1. How do I access the BIOS for this system?
2. If I format the drive, will it allow me to install Windows 7 back on the drive using a flash drive?

I really plan to restore the system back to Windows 7 and need to access the BIOS now.

I did the Flash BIOS upgrade to F.29

Current OS: Windows 10

I need to change the boot order to install Windows 7 using flash drive

The F2 key only allows me to test the system and see system information

Hi @Adnet,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand from your posts that you are having an issue with your HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx Entertainment Notebook and changing the Boot Order. Try F9 as this is the code for the boot order.

You could also try holding the Windows key and B key to restore to the previous BIOS settings.

Here is a link that will show you how to create a media tool that will not need the discs as it will use your Windows key. You will need to click on use the media creation tool which will help prepare to install the original OS. Then select perform a clean installation and follow the instructions.

Please let me know how it goes.
