I don't know the BIOS Administrator password of my laptop. Can someone help me out?
I need the password because i need to enable my bluetooth device.

Hi,
Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models - they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial No. and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.
If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a customised SMC file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

Product name: HP EliteBook 840 G1
I am trying to update the bios because my system is getting restarted automatically. One post says I need to update BIOS password. But it requires BIOS administrator password. I didn't remember the password. So it is preventing me from updating bios. Can anyone help me out this
