Probook 6475b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I lost my Bios adminstrator password of my Probook 6475b and I would like to reset it. It's preventing from reinstalling a new OS.

I tried a few things but did not work. I read that I need a specific tool provided by HP to be able to do that.

Would you help on that please? Any clues?

Thank

Probook6475b

Current OS: windows 10, 64bits

Hello @batchi .

*HP does not capture or retain any BIOS password data, so HP cannot retrieve your local BIOS password.
*HP can remove the password through a service on the notebook.
*You can contact HP technical support to set it up. Options vary by location and warranty status (a service charge may apply).

Hi @batchi

HP will not remove the password from your notebook.

They will only replace the motherboard which would be very expensive.

Below is the link to HP's policy on removing passwords from business class PC's...
