Hi @WSeal,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP laptop is displaying a message related to BIOS or battery issues every time you turn it on. This could be a sign of a variety of problems, such as BIOS settings, battery calibration, or even a hardware issue.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Reset the BIOS to Default Settings:

  • Turn off your laptop.
  • Power on and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Once in BIOS, look for an option to Restore Defaults or Load Default Settings (usually under the "Exit" or "Save & Exit" tab).
  • Save and exit BIOS to see if the message disappears.

Check Battery Health:

  • You can check your laptop's battery health by going into HP Support Assistant or running the Battery Check feature.
  • Alternatively, if you're using Windows, open Command Prompt and type powercfg /batteryreport to generate a battery report. Check for any warnings or errors in the report.

Battery Calibration:

  • Sometimes, the battery’s charge percentage can be miscalibrated. To recalibrate the battery:
    • Charge the laptop to 100%.
    • Let it discharge completely until the laptop shuts down.
    • Then, fully charge it again to 100%.

Update BIOS:

  • If the problem persists, it's worth checking if your BIOS is up to date. Go to HP's support website, search for your model, and download any available BIOS updates.

Battery or Hardware Issues:

  • If you are still seeing the message, it could indicate a failing battery or another hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
