hp 15-ba113cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the laptop hp 15-ba113cl , and now I tried to disable secured boot and enable to legacy boot as well as change boot order to USB, but when I restart and go back to bios, the setting is not been saved.

I tried to upgrade bios to latest version but  I got the error verification of flsahed bios image fails

I am thinking it is motherboard issues

How can I soave it?

Thanks

@biosfailed,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.

I reviewed your post and understand that the BIOS settings are not getting saved.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Are you facing any issues with the computer?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

While you respond to that, I recommend you download and install the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

Follow the steps in the below article to disable secure boot.

Let me know how it goes. Awaiting your reply!

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine? Maybe one month ago, after some windows update,
  • Are you facing any issues with the computer? I restarted the computer, and cannot log in to my microsoft account, Ethernet cable and wifi does not work. The others on my network wereworking well
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer? I decided to fresh install from scratch, but cannot disable secure boot to boot from USB, and then try factory reset. It did fine, but I have to put F9 and choose EFI \microsoft\boot\bootx64.efi to boot into windows. The first boot order is OS UEFI boot - Windows manager fails to boot that why I have to access windows through EFI files
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting? NoI believe the bios chip died, and cannot write on it. I tried the link you gave me to update bios, but the error message verfication flash bios image failed
