@ALGuevara, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP ProBook 455R G6 Notebook PC.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

If your BIOS update on the HP ProBook 455R G6 Notebook PC has failed multiple times, here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Ensure Compatibility:
  2. Verify that the BIOS update you are attempting to install is compatible with the HP ProBook 455R G6. Check the official HP support page for your model for the correct BIOS version.

  3. Check Power Source:

  4. Make sure your laptop is plugged into a reliable power source. A power interruption during a BIOS update can cause issues.

  5. Disable Security Software:

  6. Temporarily disable any antivirus or security software on your computer, as these can sometimes interfere with BIOS updates.

  7. Download the Update Again:

  8. Re-download the BIOS update file from the official HP website to ensure it is not corrupted.

  9. Create a BIOS Recovery USB Drive:

  10. Follow HP's instructions to create a BIOS recovery USB drive to reinstall the BIOS if the regular update method fails.

  11. Reset CMOS:

  12. Reset the CMOS to clear any possible issues. This often involves pressing a combination of keys to drain residual power or using jumpers on the motherboard. Refer to the HP support site for detailed instructions specific to your laptop model.

  13. Update Using a USB Drive:

  14. If the update through Windows is not working, try updating the BIOS using a USB drive with the necessary files, following HP's detailed BIOS update instructions for bootable USBs.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
