Hi all

i was doing a bios update through the hp software update.   the bios update froze at 2% for many hours and then I turned it off (probably should not have).  Now my laptop will not turn on. the laptop screen remains blank. no logo. no windows. nothing.

if i look to the  right side, where it shows the 2 led lights (power and SD). the power light will come on. and i hear the fan

what have i done so far...

1. removed the battery

2. created a bootable usb flash drive with bios using the steps that HP provide

3. tried windows key + b, windows key + v, with ac power only and usb plugged in

4. looked for the cmos battery - there is none or at least i cannot find it

still nothing. please help

@CJPatel Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the BIOS update is frozen.

As you have tried for BIOS recovery. Still not working.

I would suggest you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.
