This was apparently the last time i bought anything from HP.
Laptop HP 15-db1100ny, 10 GB RAM, Win 10, 512GB HDD, year 2020
Why on earth there is no way to choose either legacy or UEFI mode in bios? I tried to install linux, but due to conflict with windows (it was installed in different mode as it turns out) it couldn't finish and windows got bricked as well. I may reinstall either system, except that I can't control in which mode it would be installed. In bios there is only option to change order of UEFI and legacy boot, while both are somehow enabled simultaneously, and "UEFI boot order has priority", so there is no really a way to turn it in legacy mode. When changing some order, sometimes I arrive at linux booting live in legacy, but after restart it's already back to UEFI. Is that a computer or a random bios mode generator? I wanted to learn linux, not magic ways of hp.
