Hi @Shazock

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for reaching out. I can understand your concern. It sounds like the reset process was interrupted because Windows reported that required recovery files were missing, which has left the PC unable to complete the reset. I also noted that you previously worked with HP support regarding a BIOS-related recovery procedure, so understanding exactly where the process stopped will help us guide you more accurately.

To better understand the situation, could you please share:

  • The full HP All-in-One model number (found on a label on the PC).
  • The exact error message displayed during the reset process, if available.
  • Whether the PC currently starts to Windows, shows a recovery screen, or remains stuck during startup.
  • If you still have the USB drive that was created when HP assisted with the BIOS recovery.
  • Whether any recent hardware changes were made, such as replacing the hard drive or SSD.

In the meantime, please try these basic checks:

  • Disconnect any unnecessary USB devices, external drives, printers, or accessories connected to the computer.
  • Power the PC off completely, wait about 30 seconds, and then power it back on.
  • If the system reaches a Windows Recovery screen, make note of any error codes or messages shown.
  • If the PC restarts repeatedly, let us know exactly what appears on the screen so we can determine whether the issue is related to Windows recovery files, the HP recovery environment, or the BIOS recovery that was previously performed.

Once you share the product model and the current screen or error message, we'll be in a better position to identify the most appropriate next steps.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
