Hello! 

I own a HP ENVY 15 j100ns, which has dissapeared from the support website of HP.
Recently, when I start my laptop, I press on the button and the laptop does not start at first.
The lights from the keyboard and the start button do turn on, but I do not even see the HP sign on the screen, just a black screen. It is like the BIOS does not even start. Only after a few tries I get the laptop to start.
Can I solve that by updating the bios? How can I do that If i do not find a support page for my laptop any more?
The HP Support Assistant says everything is up to date 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi:

 

HP has retired support for the model series since it is more than 10 years old which is why you can't find any info on your notebook from HP.

 

Would updating the BIOS fix the problem you are having?

 

Unfortunately, I would have no idea.

 

What is your notebook's current BIOS version?

 

There were issues with the last BIOS update HP released for the model series, so I am reluctant to give you that one.
