Two months before my laptop was flashing. I approached a service center and changed my OS, Motherboard and Display of my laptop. Till Yesterday morning, my laptop was working great. When I switched on the system, the bios update has been done automatically. After that my laptop started misbehaving vigorously. The screen started flashing, flickering also causing vertical lines. Even, I could not login to my laptop properly. When I switch on It remains as a black screen or keep on flashing. Everything was fine before BIOS update and started misbehaving after BIOS update.

@nivedha Oh! that may need a BIOS recovery, a possible interruption, not deliberate, however, a power failure or a slight disconnection from the internet while downloading the BIOS update, could cause such issues, nevertheless, we have a few steps that should help resolve the issue, once and for all:
Click here to perform a hard reset on your device
If the issue persists, after the above steps, try the below:
-
Turn off the notebook.
-
Plug the notebook into a power source using the power adapter.
-
With the notebook off, press and hold the Windows logo key
and the B key at the same time.
NOTE:
On some notebook models, it might be necessary to press and hold the Windows logo key
and the V key.
-
While pressing those keys, press and hold the Power button on the computer for 2 to 3 seconds, and then release the Power button but continue to hold the Windows logo key
and the B or V key until the HP BIOS update screen displays or you hear a beeping sound (usually 8 beeps).
The HP BIOS Update screen displays, and the BIOS update begins automatically. This might take several minutes, and you might hear additional beeping sounds.
-
If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps. If the issue persists after repeating the steps, skip to the next step to Download a replacement BIOS file.
-
If the Power light turns off, the notebook has turned off because the Power button was held too long. Repeat the previous steps, making sure to hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds only.
-

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)

Thank you for posting back.
I have a few more troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
.
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
