Hi,i was wondering if i needed to do a bios update for this laptop.

I am on ubuntu 16.04 btw

F.06F.06

and i found this bios update for win 10 at this link:https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-11-ab000-x360-convertible-pc/1249947

just make sure it's 100% safe because i don't want to break my computer.

And make sure this device can have a bios recovery option (in case).

Thanks in advance

Hi

Normally the BIOS update is done via windows.

But I suspect you could download the .exe file and expand it using 7zip and drop it onto a USB stick to boot with.

The reason to update is   - Provides enhanced security.

Whether the security is relevant I dont know.
