I'm trying to run the update Bios F22 on my HP Envy Laptop. Evidently it won't work on Windows 11 Pro.. It keeps saying I don't have enough disk space. The computer has 790GB free.

Anybody else have this problem?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I never got a notification that I received a reply.

Anyway, I followed the link and deleted the previous Bios.bin and that solved the problem. I was able to install F22.

Thanks

Frank

@afbille'

The disk the error is referring to is actually the EFI system partition (ESP) which is only 260 MB by default.

The ESP stores Windows boot files as well as HP hardware diagnostic tool and bios update utility. The ESP also may store current and previous bios files.

The error suggests that some files be deleted to free disk space for a bios update. See this thread for how to delete stored bios files.

If this is too much work for you, let us know. There's a workaround for a bios update without getting into the ESP.
