Hi everyone 🙂
I need use password to encrypt my laptop but I don't have options to write password only PIN. My TPM in BIOS is ver.2.0. 

BIOS:

Seciurity Configuration

enable Psyhical Presence Interface

 

TPM Specyfication Verison 2.0

TPM Device Available

Enable TPM State

 

Clear TPM  NO

TPM Activation Policy    F1 to Boot

 

 

BOOT OPTIONS :

Windows Boot Manager

DVD:

USB:

 

Seciure Boot Configuration

Configure Leegacy Support and Secure Boot = Legancy Support Disable and Secure Boot Enable

Enable MS UEFI CA key

Ready BIOS for Device Guard Use = Do Nothing

Hi thank you for answer. TPM only accepts PIN but I need use password so how I can do this? When I need PIN I dont open post. 😄

I believe TPM only accepts PIN. Normally password is stored on your drive and PIN is stored in TPM therefore PIN is much better than password in this Bitlocker.

PIN in the context of BitLocker is actually TPM + PIN: the encryption key is stored securely in the TPM and is protected by a PIN. If you enter too many incorrect PINs, the TPM will lockout: there is a hardware enforced time delay on further attempts.

 

BitLocker is just one element of properly securing a Windows system - though it is an important one.
