Hi:
Unfortunately, the news is not good unless when you set up your PC and chose to use a Microsoft account, you elected to have the Bitlocker key exported to your Microsoft account.
You can see the link below for how to retrieve the key from your Microsoft account.
Finding your BitLocker recovery key in Windows (microsoft.com)
Fortunately for me, I did elect to have the Biltocker key uploaded to my Microsoft account and I was able to gain access to the drive and turn Bitlocker off again.
There are no generic Bitlocker keys and HP cannot and will not assist you with unlocking the drive.
I do not believe that you can reinstall Windows on an encrypted drive.
You may have to replace the drive.
There are videos on YouTube which indicate that you can reinstall Windows on a Bitlocker encrypted drive, so try one of those methods before replacing the drive.

If you need to replace the drive, below is the link to the service manual.

Thanks for the info. I contacted HP support after paying $14.99/month for tech support and they said I need to pay $35.00 more to have them walk me through the steps, and a usb, and a second computer. And it would wipe the computer clean. Thank you. I will look up YouTube videos for now.
I appreciate the help
