Hello all!
couple of weeks ago, my laptop turned off ti update, However this process didn't go very well. every time, I try to turn on my laptop, it shows a message on the left corner "ESC Pause startup" .
when i try to press ESC, nothing change, the same message. as well, when i try to press F1 F10, still have a black screen and only this message on the left corner "ESC Pause startup" .
I have tried Hard reset, changing RAMS ,BIOS reset via cmos battery, when i did this step, for instant, the screen showed that default configuration set , then back to the black screen with the message on the left corner "ESC Pause startup" .
Thanks in advance for your help!
Have a nice day

Hi asmita,
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately nothing of these steps work.
trying all of these buttons, only change the message on the left corner on the screen.
For bios reset, i did it by cmos battery and once i turned on after, it shows a message on the screen that it's resetting to default, then it showed the same black screen as before. as well i can't perform the steps below for troubleshooting.
Thanks

Try these steps to test the hardware -
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
- Click Extensive Test.
Let me know.

@ASH89 Here's all you need to know & do to resolve the issue with the error - Boot device not found:
NOTE:If the error message indicates 3F0 error or Boot Device Not Found, determine if your PC has Optane memory installed and configured correctly. See HP Consumer Desktop PCs - Boot Device Not Found (3F0) or Automatic Repair Errors for desktops, HP Consumer Notebook PCs - Boot Device Not Found (3F0) or Automatic Repair Errors for notebooks. For more information about Optane memory, see HP PCs - Installing and Using Intel Optane.
When starting the computer, a 3F0 error or Boot Device Not Found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk. message displays or the hard drive cannot be detected.
NOTE:If the computer starts successfully after receiving this message, go to the section on testing the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
