When I turn on my laptop pc, I see the HP logo, and the little spinning circle, then I get a message in the screen “preparing automatic repair.” That runs for a minute or two, then I get a blank (or back) screen and never gets to the desktop. The power light stays on the whole time. Tried removing the battery and all that but it didn’t help. Tried doing a system restore, but it just goes back to the blank/black screen.

The warranty has long since expired, so that’s not not an option. I've tried creating installation media on a usb device, but when I plug it in and restart the pc, nothing happens. It doesn't boot up at all, so I also cannot do a fresh (clean) install of windows. I really don't know what to do next. Suggestions?
