Last week I updated Windows 11. I then began to get a brief blue screen indicating the computer had shut down incorrectly and then would quickly go to black screen indicating boot device not found. Initially just shutting down with power button and restarting would open to the login screen and it would work fine. Starting this week it goes directly to black screen with the boot device not found message. When I force a power down, if it goes to the login screen, it indicates that it doesn’t recognize my face and it no longer recognizes my password which I am 100% confident is the correct password. Geek Squad were I purchased says only option is to restore the hard drive - losing all programs and any data not backed up to the cloud.

Hello @Steve1-d_2
Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.
To help you I just need to know the product number (p/n) xxxxxx#xxx of your notebook !
It looks something like this:
You will find this information on the back/rear of your notebook in small alphanumeric letters.
Kind regards
