NOTE: I'm not sure what category this issue belongs to

This problem mostly occurs when my laptop has been asleep for a couple of hours. After opening my laptop, logging in, and moving my cursor up, a black screen appears from the bottom of my screen and moves up and down with my cursor. The top of the black screen stays just below my cursor. If I left click on something, the entire screen goes black temporarily. Only hard resetting the laptop gets rid of this problem until the next time my laptop sleeps. My drivers are updated. Please let me know if more info is required.

I understand that you are facing issues with the display.

I see that this unit came with Windows 10. Have you made any changes to your software on this PC?
