Product: HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef2000 (771X2AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new Spectre - received 24 hours ago. 
I booted it up and connected to the wifi and it updated. During set up I set up the facial recognition as well as a pin number. It finished updating and I switched it off. Later returned to install my apps etc and on the login screen it used my Microsoft logo and login - but then the screen goes black. You can use the track pad to move the white arrow around but that is it. I tried shutting the camera off and using the pin number to login same happens.  I can Control Alt and Delete to see applications running but its the window against the black screen behind. 
Tried to contact support for a call back but that isnt working today, have been ages on a whatsapp which takes the person so long between each message... honestly loosing the will to live especially after purchasing a 1400 quid computer. 
Any ideas what I should do?  Back to factory settings if that is even possible?
