HP 250 G6 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having problems to update my Win 10 OS to any version after 1803 - of which the Win support has recenty ended. The update works and finishes, but after reboot, I only get a white screen (with only language selection buttons). I can boot normally in safe mode, but as I am not very knowledgable in computer matters, I could not figure out, how to solve this problem. Is this a driver problem of the graphic card? I had updated all drivers before I tried the latest update to version 1909 with the same frustrating result. Has anybody had the same probelm and can help me? Restore computer to earlier date/time can be an ideal solution provided if you have a system backup created. Check out the post of how do you revert computer to previous date in Windows 10 by using the backup or restore point.

If you're still having problems with your PC, the table can help you decide which recovery option to use. For help with black screen or blue screen errors, see Troubleshoot black screen problems or Troubleshoot blue screen errors

Thanks PiterGeek for your answer. I have managed to restore the computer to Win 10 version 1803, but the problem is that updating it to the newest version (1909 at the moment) always brings the same screen error. I would just continue to run it on 1803, but the Win support for this version has run out in November 😞

I'm sorry it didn't help.

You will have the ability to choose when that move will occur that it will automatically update your computer to a new version.

It's not a major update, as I know that someone else still using an older version which working fine.

Or you can wait Microsoft to release further update to fix the issue.
