Hi @andrea259, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Your HP Notebook 15s-fq1008nl is giving you the silent treatment with a blank screen◼️? Let's try to coax it back to life.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Disconnect the charger and remove all peripherals (USB drives, external monitors, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the charger (without the battery, if removable) and try turning it on.

Check Display Issues

  • External Monitor Test:
    1. Connect your laptop to an external monitor using HDMI or VGA.
    2. Press Windows + P and select Duplicate or Extend.
    3. If the external monitor works, your laptop screen may be faulty.

Perform BIOS Recovery

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 3–5 seconds.
  3. Release the Power button but keep holding Windows + B until the BIOS recovery screen appears.
  4. Follow on-screen instructions to restore BIOS.

Reset Memory Modules (if possible)

  1. If your laptop has upgradable RAM, remove the bottom panel and reseat the RAM module.
  2. If you have two RAM sticks, try booting with one at a time.

Check for Power or Hardware Failure

  • If the caps lock key blinks or you hear beeping sounds, note the pattern and let me know—it could indicate a hardware issue.
