Pavillion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

1) I am using hp pavilion touch screen laptop.

2) recently the lcd screen is broken and screen is not available in my location as it is out of country purchase

3) hence I started using in hdmi mode.

4) I had to reset windows 10 as I had issues with password. I used this option

""""Reset This PC inWindows 10. ... Refresh kept all your files and personalization settings, but set your PC settings to the default and uninstalled your desktop apps.""""

5) after resetting windows 10 when I turn on the laptop it loads up to logo screen and says preparing and then turns into blank screen.  Nothing happens after that.

Please help.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is not booting to Windows after performing a reset on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

The internal display needs to be in working condition to perform a recovery on the computer as the initial setup will only be available on the internal display.

I recommend you check the HP part surfer and check if you can order the display for your computer.

You can purchase all the replacement parts available for your computer from the HP part surfer.

Follow the steps in the below article for detailed instructions.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372736

Or else you can contact the support team and they will assist you in ordering the part.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
