HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f0000 RCTO Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

As I normally do, I put the Laptop to sleep connected to its charger.

Later, I couldn't wake-up the Spectre x360 from sleeping with the mouse or its enter key.  I tried its power button, to no avail.  I then tried holding down the power button for a bit over 30-seconds, to no avail.  Its power light remained blinking.

I removed x360's back and disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes.  I reconnected the battery and a BSOD was very BRIEFLY seen, with a message that I was unable to fully read.  The message began with (what I believe to be)The cmos check sum is invalid and thereafter, I believe something like this:  The ___ will reset _____.

Now What?

If the problem re-occurs, I obviously don't want to disassemble the Spectre x360 again to disconnect the battery, to clear whatever problem is occurring.  Any suggestions regarding a permanent fix?

Note:  The Spectre x360 is a little over 2-years old (purchased 1/2022)

Lastly a note to HP:  It would be a huge help if there was a button that could be used to disconnect a laptop's power-input from its battery, without having to tear into the laptop to physically disconnect the battery, to halt the power just to re-boot the device.

Here's a video from HP Support about computers not waking from sleep in Win 11:

I will try some of what the video advised.

I can't try everything, because minus disconnecting the battery, pressing the power button or enter button, or any other key, did nothing.  That's why it would be beneficial to disconnect power to the notebook other than by physically removing the rear shell and disconnecting the battery.  That is, if adding some sort of re-start/re-store/power disconnecting button would be feasible.

My concern is that I hesitate to keep removing the rear panel from the x360, because the press-fit plastic hold-downs on the panel and case, would seem to NOT be that robust and may break with numerous removal and re-attachment efforts.  And I would be left with 4-small screws keeping everything together.

Since the occurrence, the x360 was either sleeping or hybernating.  If the latter, that may be more of a problem than sleeping.  However, my guess is that the problem is either due to the unit sleeping or hybernating.  So, the suggestions in the HP video may work.  I will try them when I get the chance.  Thanks for the HP link!

I did what the video suggested.

Additionally, I chose to NOT allow the PC to hibernate.  I did this by:

Starting the Windows Run dialogue box and inserted the following command:  powercfg -h off and hit Enter.

Because it seems that the sleep process may be more well established and utilized than hibernate, I thought why not eliminate hibernate, because essentially and in my case it is not needed.  This assumes of course, that the Windows 11 hibernate routine may have been the culprit.

If the blinking power-key-light following sleep (while plugged-in) re-occurs and the HP Spectre x360 (16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f0000) can't be turned-on/started without the need to manually detach its battery (internal power supply), to allow the use of the power-key, I will post here accordingly.
