HP Pavilion x360 cd0087tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For the last few months, I have been trying to update windows but could not due to BSOD.

This occurs right after the second restart(First being from the desktop, which windows prompts me to do and second when windows install the update while showing orange background).

it shows -

Stop code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

Then I have to restart my PC manually until it beings to roll back changes

Windows 10 version - 1803 (have had problems installing both 1809 and 1903)

Laptop - HP Pavilion x360 cd0087tu

P.S.

I have already tried doing these:

  1. updated graphics card to the latest as allowed by windows version(from HP support website)
  2. run windows memory diagnostics tool
  3. run CHKDSK
  4. run SFC

I  can't afford to reset my laptop(though, I will do if absolutely necessary)

Thanks in advance 😃

Hi

Try....

MAKE BACKUPS AND RECOVERY MEDIA if you can.

The PC has a 1 TB HDD and maybe you could shrink the C: and add a coupla new partitions.

The 1st for a new version of W10, so you effectively dual boot.

Second one for Storage.

Parts of My Disk.pngI peaked at 14 partitions at one point.

The storage area should ensure that you only format and install to the 1st, because you can HIDE/UNHIDE a partition which will avoid it being written over.

I prefer Gparted, others prefer something else.

If in doubt please ask.
