I have an Hp victus gaming laptop ^ (it won't let me select stuff up top)
But I've had this issue before (and it even caused my pc to have to have the motherboard replaced cause it became an endless loop)
I've also had to hard reset a few times.
But almost every time I turn on my pc for the day, it shows the "your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart :(" blue screen.
And I just dont understand why, I shut it down normally everytime I'm done using it (both with button and manual makes no difference)
I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this one to get it to stop? All my drivers seem updated and fine

Hi @Lyndsyy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
1. Update Drivers and Windows
Ensure all your drivers, including graphics, chipset, and network drivers, are up to date. Also, verify that Windows is updated to the latest version.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for updates.
2. Check for Corrupted System Files
Use the System File Checker tool (SFC) to scan and restore potentially corrupted system files.
- Press Win + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).
- Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Wait for the scan to complete.
3. Run a Disk Check
Check your hard drive for errors.
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type chkdsk /f /r and press Enter. You may need to schedule a disk check on the next restart.
4. Scan for Malware
Run a full system scan using Windows Defender or another reputable antivirus program to ensure that malware isn’t causing the crashes.
5. Check for Hardware Issues
- Memory: Use Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to test your RAM.
- Type Windows Memory Diagnostic in the search bar and select Restart now and check for problems.
- Hard Drive: Ensure there are no physical issues with your hard drive.
6. Update BIOS
Sometimes, a BIOS update can resolve stability issues. Visit the HP Support website and check for any available BIOS updates for your Victus model. Be sure to follow the provided instructions carefully.
I hope this helps.
