Hello there,
This is my first time posting a message in this website so I am not sure who the responders are, sorry about that.
It started with a restart. I was trying to imporve my laptop's gaming performace and was messing around with window settings. After a few changes on how the computer starts up and a few on optimizing how programs are ran, I was required to do a restart. Since this restart, a blue screen of death (BSOD) appeared that frightened me . I used safe mode to put everything back as it was before and the BSOD did not appear on the next restart.
I like to put my laptop on standby a lot, but I soon realized that every time I shut down my computer the BSOD would appear and after a few restarts it would go away.
As of now, this method does not work anymore and the BSOD appears every time I try to start up my computer normally. I have tried to re-install display drivers and optimize performace but nothing has worked.
Does anyone know how to fix this ? I would appriciate any help

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Your problem is known as Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). BSOD is kind of Windows self-protection feature. If you received a blue screen error, or stop code, the computer has shut down abruptly to protect itself from data loss.
The reason is shown above :
1. ATI/AMD video card driver failure
2. Your settings you messed up with
Try "turning back time" by using System Restore and do not change anything else
Major priority is to have a working device
System Restore is a software program available in all modern versions of Windows. System Restore automatically creates restore points, a memory of the system files and settings on the computer at a particular point in time. You can also create a restore point yourself. Then, when you use System Restore to restore your computer to a point in time before an issue began, System Restore returns your computer to the files and settings from the restore point. Your personal files and documents are not affected.
