Run Hardware Diagnostics

  • Use HP’s built-in diagnostics tool:
    1. Turn off the laptop.
    2. Press the Power button and repeatedly press Esc to enter the Startup menu.
    3. Select Diagnostics (F2).
    4. Run tests for the hard drive, memory, and other components.

Check for Malware

  • Malware or viruses can cause blue screens. Use a reliable antivirus program or Windows Defender to scan your system.

Perform a System Restore

  • If the problem started recently, a system restore might help:
    1. Search for "System Restore" in the Windows search bar.
    2. Choose a restore point before the issue started.

Reinstall Windows

  • As a last resort, you can reset or reinstall Windows:
    1. Backup important files using Safe Mode or an external device.
    2. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery and select Reset this PC.
    3. Choose to keep or remove personal files.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @sharafatkhan728,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The blue screen error you're experiencing on your HP Pavilion 15 typically indicates a system crash due to a hardware or software issue. Here’s how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Note the Error Code

  • The blue screen often provides an error code, such as "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" or "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED."
  • Note down this code as it can help pinpoint the problem.

Initial Steps

  • Restart the Laptop: If it restarts automatically, wait to see if the issue persists. If not, proceed to the next steps for prevention.
  • Safe Mode Boot:
    1. Turn off the laptop.
    2. Power it on and repeatedly press F8 or Esc to access the advanced boot menu.
    3. Select Safe Mode.

Check for Recent Changes

  • Did you install any new software, drivers, or updates? If so:
    • Uninstall Problematic Software/Updates:
      • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program or Settings > Windows Update > Update History.
    • Rollback recent updates or drivers if possible.

Update Drivers

  • Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause blue screens. Update them:
    1. In Safe Mode, go to Device Manager.
    2. Right-click on major components (e.g., Display Adapter, Network Adapter, etc.) and select Update Driver.
    3. Alternatively, download drivers from the HP Support website specific to your laptop model.
