Hello !

I am having some trouble here with this laptop, every time I plug in my  Seagate 2 TB external h.d I get a blue screen in about 3-5 sec's. If I plug that same h.d. into my Dell it works smoothly no issues, no blue screens.  What would make that unit blue screen my HP and not the Dell? I prefer my HP over the Dell and I keep this one updated and I have a HP All in One 24 and it doesn't have any issue with the Seagate. Is this a driver issue? I am stumped !

Thanks for any suggestions !

@Doug30

Are you booting with the external attached and getting a BSOD?

Or are you getting that after the laptop is up and running and you then connect the external?

Hi and thanks,

I am getting BSOD both ways, when I boot up with it and when I plug it in. Do you have any suggestions? I could plug it back in and get the error code if that would helps. If it works on one HP and not another that's a issue with the laptop and not the external h.d. I would think...
