Product: HP Laptop - 17t-by300 CTOple: Pavilion 6530
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I've had blue screens with this computer since I purchased it about 5 months ago. Support couldn't help me. I get them each time after I've been using my computer with browser windows open, notepads and Outlook most often, and then I open a large program like Photoshop 2021 or Camtasia. Everything I have is updated automatically. I've opened Task Manager to see that when my memory reaches 98%+, the computer crashes. I can prevent that by turning off most all other programs, so I believe this is a memory issue. I have 16g. My previous 6 year old laptop has 8g and did not crash with a blue screen when I would leave many windows open and start up one of those programs. The system would operate slowly, but not crash. Years ago MS would write the overflow onto the hard drive. Is that done yet? Is there a way to prevent my system from crashing? Everything gets reset, so planning to work like this is time consuming. Help? Thanks.
