HP 15-r036tu Notebook PC

I hope this post finds you well. I recently encountered an issue with my HP laptop, and I'm reaching out to the community for some guidance.

The problem is that the Bluetooth On/Off button seems to be missing from my laptop, and despite reaching out to Microsoft for support, they advised me to contact HP directly. According to Microsoft, enabling Bluetooth in the BIOS might be the solution to my issue.

I've checked through the device settings and tried troubleshooting on my own, but I haven't been able to find a resolution. Since the Bluetooth functionality is crucial for my work and daily tasks, I'm eager to get this sorted out as soon as possible.

If anyone has faced a similar situation or has experience with enabling Bluetooth in the BIOS on an HP laptop, I would greatly appreciate your insights. What steps did you take to resolve the issue, and did it effectively bring back the Bluetooth functionality?

Additionally, if there are any HP support representatives or experts in the community, I would be grateful for any guidance or instructions on how to enable Bluetooth in the BIOS for my specific laptop model.

Thank you in advance for your help and support! I'm looking forward to hearing from the community and hopefully finding a solution to this Bluetooth dilemma.

Hi:

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a Ralink RT3290LE 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination WLAN adapter.

HP PartSurfer

If you are running W10, the Ralink Bluetooth adapter completely disappears from the device manager on the newer builds of W10.

There is no fix.

You can replace the Ralink Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter with this model Wi-Fi adapter where both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work in W10.

Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter   HP part # 753077-001

Or you can purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter that has support for 10.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the Wi-Fi adapter removal and replacement procedure.
