Hp dv7 envy

I have been searching and trying to fix first why noise started to come along with fan.

Used youtube videos including hp snf pcmonkey, ifix it , etv for the past two weeks. However, although I was able to see the fan and cleaned it, no major dust was found. So, I tried to put it back together. I put back the SATA, i have one only, checked if the wires and placed it back.

Now started to boot, but it slows a bit then the screen comes back with boot device not found , please install an operating system on your hard disk, Hard Disk(3F0) F2 System Diagnostics, for more information, please visit:www.hp.com/go/technocenter/startup.

It did not help.

So I pushed F2 instead then used to check

Memory Test:  passed

Hard Drive Check:

Quick Check: SMART check:NOT INSTALLED

Short DIST: NOTINSTALLED

Check the link but nothing helped such as

F10 checking the BIOS then resetting the time and date (it was back to factory date 2012), went to security changed to Legacy enabled then again failed.

Also I tried hitting esc after power on, and also F11 still nothing worked I get 3F0 error no boot device found.

Finally, i booted again removed the hard drive and got the same error.

I removed battery and unplugged everytime. Now I just resetted the BIOS with F9, then hit F10.

What is bothering me is I have some picture files and pdf articles in that drive and all the chrome bookmarks that I will lose. I do not want to mess up my new computer to test my hard drive. It seems like nothing is going to help with recovering my files if I replace it with new one.

The computer worked fine and I do not know why all the noise started in the first place, now I can not it to work again. Does anybody know why other than the SMART check issue? I checked everything that may cause it, hardware issues such as cable being pulled too much or so. Nothing abnormal on SATA physically. So I can not think of the OS failing just like that as it was working. Just to add I had blank screen after my first reassembly and I found out i swapped RAM locations(i have two), then I switched it back then the screen came on but with the boot device not found error I explained above. I am just adding this to give an idea of where I am right now. Seems may some little wires have been overstrecthed? I do not know.

To repeat I need my computer back without going for replacement as my computer used to work. Once I do that I can recover my files then may be go for upgrade to help reduce fan work load(noise) which seems to be due to an old SATA? I do not know for sure. That is my priority right now. If not then I will replace it.

By the way the computer overheats. Is that also a SATA issue as I outlined above?
