HP Stream - 11-ah113wm

I purchased a Stream 11-ah113wm from a pawn shop for my son for Xmas. I verified it came up, but missed that it had the previous user's account in there. I tried to do a full reset/restore, via the windows recovery options, but it kept telling me it needed more room to erase all the old user's info(!?!) I found a 'delete data' option in the BIOS, and used it. Now I have no OS, and apparently, it wiped the recovery partition as well. Joy. I have a Windows 10  64 bit USB installable drive, but I don't have and couldn't locate the Windows key (no sticker). HP support says it is out of warranty. I am not inclined to rebuy Windows, when there should already be a license for this laptop. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about getting the license key for this? Or do I just go Linux?

Thanks in advance for the help

Hi:

You can use the HP cloud recovery tool on another PC running W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.

Since you have to use the utility on another PC, you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.

Your PC's product number is: 4BL86UA#ABA
