My HP laptop is repeatedly showing “Boot Device Not Found” when I try to start it. I ran the HP hardware diagnostics, including the extensive tests, and all the tests passed successfully. However, the laptop still cannot detect the boot device and Windows does not start. Please help me identify whether this is a boot/SSD detection issue and what steps I should take to fix it.

If it passed the hard drive check test and the BIOS recognizes the SSD, then Windows is likely corrupted. If you don't have any important data on this laptop, create a bootable USB using another Windows device. Then boot this laptop from the USB and perform a clean Windows installation by selecting Custom installation. Select the Windows drive, delete it and its partitions, and then install Windows on the resulting unallocated space.

This guide may help to create bootable USB - https://www.hp.com/in-en/tech-takes/software/how-to/install-windows-11-usb.html

If you laptop is newer or can do hp clod recovery then try this first - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4511095-4511141-16

Let me know if you have any doubt.
