Got refurbished computer, turned on and got a “Boot device not found, please install an operating system on your hard disk.
Hard disk (350) “
I went to the link it provided, www.hp.com/go/tech center/startup
but didn’t have much success, I was hoping someone could help me through the steps and put it into terms I can understand. Thank you!

Hi
Perhaps start here...........
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-stream-11-r000-notebook-pc/8499339/manuals
Next:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.
Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.
NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
The error message is 3F0 or 350 ??

Hi
Failed / Dead Hard Disk drive.
Replacement required.
Is it some thing you would/could attempt or a local repairer?

However if it just missing an operating system...

Strictly speaking it does not have a conventional Hard Disk, but eMMC memory.
EG:
Equipped with an Intel Celeron N3050 1.60-GHz (SC turbo up to 2.16-GHz) dual core
processor (1600-MHz FSB, 2.0-MB L2 cache, 4.0 W), 2.0-GB of system memory, 64-GB of
eMMC system storage, and a non-Windows operating system 830815-001
OR
Equipped with an Intel Celeron N3050 1.60-GHz (SC turbo up to 2.16-GHz) dual core
processor (1600-MHz FSB, 2.0-MB L2 cache, 4.0 W), 2.0-GB of system memory, 32-GB of
eMMC system storage, and the Windows 10 Professional operating system 830814-601
ELSE a BIOS option??
Could you return it for a refund?
If in doubt please ask.
