Hi, NOT computer savy. With that being said trying to fix my Mother's computer. It has come up saying Boot device Hard Disk 3f0. It's a hp envy 15. HELP ME PLEASE.

Usually that message indicates the hard drive has failed. Try to run Diagnostics. Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.
If it passes Diagnostics you might try doing a System Recovery. Step by step guide here:
