Compaq 15 notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

While starting laptop it gave me message boot device not found install operating system on hard disk. hard disk(3F0).

I performed  the hard drive check and it showed smart check not installed, short DST not installed, and for extensive check long DST not installed.

I also tried reseating the hard drive but the error remained the same. Then I tried starting again with a bootable device for windows 10 connected then while asking where do you want to install the windows it shows the drive 0 with total space 0b and available space 0b and hence I cannot create partition and windows isn't getting installed further.

My laptop had windows 8.1(64bit) while purchasing but later I updated to windows 10 and was using windows 10.
