Hi, my daughter has a HP Pavilion 14-ce0507na which won't turn on and has displayed the following message on a black screen:
"Boot device not found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard disk (3FO).
F2 system diagnostics."
I ran the system diagnostic check which stated "No hard drive installed. Please check that the power and data cables are connected properly".
I then removed the original 256GB SSD and fitted a known to be working 512 GB SSD but only got the same message.
The replacement SSD came out of a desktop gaming computer and is a Western Digital PC SN520 NVME 512 GB.
Does anyone have any suggestions that I might try to resolve the issue please?
Many thanks.

Hi @Rainbow23
Thank you for your reply.
I clicked on the link which you sent for the HP Service Centre location, but although I selected United Kingdom it doesn't appear to be working and, in any event, says that Supported Products are Samsung Printers, A3 Printers and Commercial Laser Jet. My faulty device is a laptop and so it is evidently not supported.
I have removed the back from the laptop and replaced the SSD as it is my understanding that the error message suggests a failed hard disk, but this has not resolved the situation. After running the diagnostic test to check the hard disk, no 24-digit code appears.
Can you put me in touch with someone who deals with technical questions please?
Thanks again.
