Microsoft Windows 11

None of the help screens on the HP site show any of the options I get when pressing F2, F9 or F10 on my HP Notebook. My problem is as stated in the heading above. My notebook does not start up in Windows, just that message.

Can anybody help, please?

Hi @Derek_J_W,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

This looks like a hardware issue. However, if you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, then the unit might need service.

You may have to contact phone support for further options. For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

Hi. Elohi,

I have just rung Tech Support and followed a path which led nowhere. I got through to a AI voice which promised to send a text with link to follow, but nothing. I do need to either get my Pavillion laptop fixed or buy a new one.

Please help

Hi. Elohi,

I have finally been forced to give up on getting my HP Pavilion running again. I have downloaded all the required software recommended on the HP website but, all to no avail. Gathered a new Windows 10 install for the operating system, replace the BIOS install software but nothing worked. As the laptop is only 3 years old I am most disappointed in the quality of it. It does not reflect well on HP products for which I have always had glowing respect for, up till now. My Lenovo laptop, which is 10 years old and running like a teenager, is still giving sterling service. If I have to replace this HP laptop, then you can take a guess which way I shall be going.

I thank you for your help previously. If you have any further help to offer, please contact me asap, since I need to replace this current laptop urgently.

All the best,
