Was on home screen, checking storage and performance, disabled something like Intel optane (said it would increase performance). Went to blue screen, said there was an error, restarted computer, and the error message pops up. "Boot device not found. Please install operating system on your hard disk. (3FO)". Tried to reset BIOS default settings. Tried to reset in BIOS legacy mode and restart computer. Tried the hardware diagnostics, F2. Passed the memory and hard drive tests. Tried the storage tests, said there was no storage installed. I don't know how to get past this without losing everything. Every time I restart the computer it says Boot device not found. Please install operating system on your hard disk. (3FO)

This error code nearly always means the primary drive has failed, will need to be replaced, and Windows reinstalled on the PC.
